Opportunities and Challenges in Cambodia's Economy: The Path to Investing in Cambodia Airways' IPO

Recently, Cambodia Airways announced its plan to raise $45 million by offering shares on the NASDAQ stock exchange. The airline wants to sell 10 million shares at a price between $4 and $5 each. This move is part of its strategy to strengthen its position as Cambodia’s only full-service airline. Cambodia Airways mainly operates from Phnom Penh and flies to destinations in China and Southeast Asia with a fleet of five Airbus planes. In 2024, the airline showed strong recovery, carrying 345,628 passengers—an increase of 128% compared to the previous year. If the IPO is successful, Cambodia Airways would become the first Cambodian company to be listed on NASDAQ.
